Page template is very useful, they allow you to create custom page, for example creating an archive page, link page and much more, so what should you do to create page template to your wordpress?

Insert on the first line of your page template code like this:

<?php /* Template Name: Archives */ ?>

Code above, we just created page template with name “Archives”.

Next to use it on you theme. Create your page and scroll down until you see “Page Template” dropdown list, then you can choose the page template which used.
